As a result of the report over half of the foodservice sector is now committed to better standards for chickens on factory farms.

But there are still companies within the sector that are not meeting minimum standards for chicken welfare. Some show no intention to improve, despite many of their competitors signing up to the European Chicken Commitment and changing their policies to make welfare a priority.

Companies owe it to consumers and stakeholders to be open about their commitments to improve animal welfare—especially when they directly impact millions of chickens’ lives.
