Code Of Conduct

Code Of Conduct

Dear valued supporter,

Thank you for standing with The Humane League UK in our mission to end the abuse of animals raised for food. Your support is helping to build a kinder world - one where all animals are treated with compassion.

As a community, we want to be clear about the shared values that guide how we work together. At The Humane League UK, our core values are collaboration, inclusivity, innovation, relentlessness, nimbleness, and effectiveness. These principles shape not only our campaigns, but also how we engage with one another - whether as staff, volunteers, or donors.

Our Code of Conduct exists to protect the wellbeing and dignity of everyone involved in our work. It helps ensure our shared spaces - whether online or in-person - are respectful, inclusive, and safe. Maintaining this environment allows us to fully focus on our mission and maximise our impact for animals.

We expect that relationships between supporters and staff are built on mutual respect, transparency, and a shared commitment to our values. We ask all supporters to uphold these standards and refrain from any form of discrimination or prejudice.

We ask supporters to approach interactions with care and respect, avoid inappropriate behaviour, and respect the personal and professional boundaries of staff, volunteers and other supporters.

We will always aim to resolve any concerns raised with understanding, open communication and fairness. In instances of harassment, aggression, or inappropriate conduct - whether verbal, written, or physical - we will investigate these internally.

If you have any questions or feedback about this code or your experience as a supporter, we welcome your input. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Gavin Chappell-Bates, Head of Development at info@thehumaneleague.org.uk.

Together, we are making a real difference for animals.

With gratitude,

The Humane League UK team
