Alex Mayers has joined The Humane League UK as our new Managing Director. We’re excited to have Alex join our team and bring his years of experience to our crucial work ending the abuse of farmed animals. Under his leadership, THL UK will keep tackling the urgent crisis of factory farming.
Alex joins from the Good Food Institute Europe where he was also Managing Director. He has spent more than a decade of his career working to help animals including roles at The Donkey Sanctuary.
In a message to supporters, Alex said “I love animals and want to create a world where they can live in freedom and peace. I am excited and grateful to be joining The Humane League UK to fight for farmed animals.”
“I am so glad that you’ve chosen to make a difference as part of our community. I know that you too feel the horror and injustice of factory farming and, like myself and the rest of the team here, that you want to do what you can to make things right. I can’t wait to end the suffering of animals raised for food with you.”
