And as Giving Tuesday approaches, we encourage all animal lovers to harness the power of this global day of generosity. By making a contribution towards our match giving appeal, you’re choosing to take a stand against unimaginable suffering.
A true match to make the most of (monthly) giving
Every gift received matters profoundly: we are committed to a ‘true match’, meaning our funders match only the donations we receive.
We’re also able to extend this true match to every monthly donation established during our campaign. By setting up a monthly gift, your support will be matched each month for the first 12 months, doubling your impact all year long.
Regular donations are especially valuable because they provide the sustained support we need to tackle long-term issues like the cruel breeding of Frankenchickens. Monthly donors truly are the backbone of our work, driving our ability to act for animals each and every month. If you’re already a monthly donor, you will be able to join this appeal by increasing your regular donation; the increase will be matched for an entire year, adding even more value to your support.
I am extremely focussed on effectiveness, so it is important for me to support effective causes, like The Humane League UK. Being a match funder also means I can extend that effectiveness by doubling donations and, hopefully, bringing more donors together to support this important work.

Why Frankenchickens need you to act now
At the heart of this urgent appeal lies our ongoing fight against the suffering of Frankenchickens. These chickens have been bred to grow at such an unnatural rate that their bodies can’t support the weight, leading to pain, immobility, and unimaginable suffering for millions of animals.
Across the UK, chickens are suffering in their millions. We’re campaigning relentlessly to stop this, taking action to move supermarkets away from selling this cruelty to their customers, and challenging the Government on the legality of fast-growing breeds. But the problem is vast, and every donation fuels our ability to keep fighting for this cause.
