We've joined forces with the Eating Better Alliance - a group of over 50 civil society organisations passionate about health, environment, animal welfare and social justice.

I’m excited to announce that The Humane League UK has joined forces with, and become a member group of, the Eating Better Alliance - a group of over 50 civil society organisations passionate about health, environment, animal welfare and social justice.
The Eating Better Alliance is working to stimulate a 50% reduction in meat and dairy consumption in the UK by 2030, and for higher welfare systems for farmed animals as a minimum standard.
The shared goals of the alliance are to:
- Build and demonstrate coherent cross-sectoral leadership and collaboration on less and better meat consumption and more plant-based eating as part of healthy, sustainable diets.
- Make change happen at the level of government policy, business practice and behaviour change, generating advocacy support and encouraging practical initiatives.
- Stimulate long-term cultural shifts by devising new ways of framing the ‘less and better' meat and dairy message that are compelling and inclusive.
Working collaboratively the alliance drives progress, inspires action, equips people and tracks change, so that we can all eat better.
Joining the alliance is an exciting step for The Humane League UK. Collaboration is one of the cornerstones of our work and the Eating Better Alliance has successfully brought together groups from all manner of backgrounds to push for a shared goal very close to our hearts; mending our broken food system.
No single organisation can fix the system alone, but together - and with the help of our supporters and volunteers - we have power and strength to change the world for animals.
