A message about COVID-19 from The Humane League UK and some of the measures we are taking.
The world is in the grips of the COVID-19 pandemic. It's an unsettling time. In the midst of it all, we are sending you and your loved ones the very best and healthiest of wishes. We are all in this together.
At The Humane League UK, we will continue to work tirelessly to end the abuse of animals raised for food, while limiting our volunteers’, supporters’ and staff’s exposure to the virus as much as we can. Here are some of the measures we are taking to make this happen:
- We’ve cancelled supporter gatherings including Action Parties and in-person protests until further notice.
- Our Corporate Relations staff will not attend any face-to-face meetings until further notice.
- We’ve cancelled all other staff travel until further notice.
All staff at The Humane League UK work from home already, so we do not have any physical offices, and we are encouraging staff to follow guidance on social distancing.
We will continue to monitor the situation very closely and react accordingly.
