The UK has a reputation for being a nation of animal lovers. And there’s no doubt that many of our companion animals are living their best lives.

Most have comfy beds, toys and, if they get poorly, they are taken to vets that can help nurse them back to health. But the UK has a hidden shame that puts our animal-loving reputation in doubt. And it’s something that many vets are speaking out about - the treatment of chickens raised for food.

We’ve spoken to some of the vets that are joining our campaign to improve the lives of these poor animals. They are calling on supermarkets to stop selling suffering and sign up to the Better Chicken Commitment (BCC).
