Lidl seem to be having trouble telling the truth…so we’ve given them a helping hand.

Last month, Lidl UK’s cruelty was revealed when a whistleblower released investigation footage from a farm that supplied Lidl with chicken. The footage is starkly different to the commitment to welfare they claim to have on their website. So we thought we’d help them out with a little bit of truth.
Following the recent release of horrifying footage from a factory farm, Lidl tried to distance themselves. They claimed they were no longer supplied by the farm in question. But they were caught out. We found evidence of chicken from that very supplier on Lidl's shelves.
Lidl seem to be having trouble telling the truth. So we’ve created a more honest advert for them to use when talking about the chicken they sell to their customers.

While this spoof advert might make you smile, the truth behind it certainly is no laughing matter. Chickens are suffering in their millions. Intensive farming practices mean that chickens today grow so big, so fast, that they often cannot walk and their organs can't support their own bodies. Left to lie, in pain, in their own waste that burns their skin. This is the reality for the chickens destined for Lidl’s shelves.
The best way to make a change is for Lidl to sign up to the Better Chicken Commitment (BCC). It’s a set of criteria that ensures chickens are living a better life, by using slower growing breeds and providing them with an improved environment.
We’ll continue fighting until Lidl commits to the BCC. Will you join the fight for animals?
